A sequence of actions
Textbook: pp. 44–45
GoalPut actions in the right order and understand that a different order can change the result.
New words
sequence · ketma-ketlikorder · tartibresult · natijafirst · avval
Explanation
To reach a goal we do actions one after another, in order. Actions done in order that lead to a result form a sequence of actions. If the order is broken, the result changes or fails. For example, socks go on first, then shoes. If we do it the other way round, it turns out funny!
Worked examples
Brushing teeth: 1) take the brush, 2) put on paste, 3) clean the teeth, 4) rinse the mouth.
Making tea: first the water is boiled, then the tea is added. If the order changes, the tea will not taste good.
Class activity
“Put in order”: give shuffled picture cards (for example, planting: soil, seed, water, sprout). The group lays them in the right order and tells the story.
