Explanation
Devices that can work with information are called information devices. A camera keeps pictures. A phone receives and sends sound. A tablet works with music, pictures, writing and cartoons. Each device works with its own kinds of information.
Worked examples
A camera works with graphic information (photos).
A radio gives only sound information, while a television gives sound and picture.
Class activity
“Who am I?”: one child plays a device and says what it can do (“I take pictures”). The class guesses the device.
