Textbook pp. 24–25
GoalLearn the six-pointed shape of a snowflake and draw it in cold colours.
New words
snowflake · qor parchasiray, point · nurcold colours · sovuq ranglarwinter · qish
Explanation
Every snowflake has six points, and no two are the same. Blue, light blue, violet and white are cold colours; they remind us of winter and ice. We draw a snowflake from a centre dot with six equal lines, then add little branches to each point.
Worked examples
Six-pointed snowflakes in white gouache on blue paper, big and small.
Class activity
Steps: 1) Put a dot in the middle of the page. 2) Draw one straight line through it, then two more lines crossing it, making 6 points. 3) Add “V”-shaped branches to each point. 4) Paint in white and blue on a light blue or blue background. Game: “Warm or cold?” The teacher shows a colour and children say “warm” or “cold”.
