Explanation
In this section we read about the homeland, Uzbekistan, the defenders of the homeland and our cities. Today we remember the main ideas, repeat the proverbs and talk about our own place.
Worked examples
“Our homeland”. The homeland is the place where we were born and grew up. Uzbekistan is a free and beautiful country. On 14 January we congratulate the defenders of the homeland. Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are our famous cities. We love and take care of our country.
Proverb: “One who does not value the homeland does not value oneself.”
Class activity
“Who is quickest?”: the teacher asks a question (Capital? Defenders’ Day? Small homeland?); the first child to raise a hand answers.
