Textbook Part 2, pp. 49–50

Explanation

A dialogue is a conversation between two people. In a dialogue each line starts on a new line with a dash (—). A polite child greets elders, respectfully calls them siz, and honours their parents. The textbook has a conversation between Luqmoni Hakim (Luqman the Wise) and a boy.

Worked examples
“The guest”. “Hello, Granny!” said Laylo, opening the door. “Hello, my girl! Is your mum at home?” “Yes, she is. Please come in.” Laylo poured tea for the old lady. The old lady said: “What a polite girl you are,” and blessed her.
Saying siz to elders and being kind to younger ones is a sign of good manners.
