Explanation
Space is the endless expanse around Earth. It has stars, planets and comets. Earth is the planet we live on; it is third from the Sun. Astronauts fly into space in a spaceship and go through special training before the flight.
Worked examples
“I will be an astronaut”. Dilnoza dreams of becoming an astronaut. Astronauts fly into space in a spaceship. Before the flight they train for a long time. Seen from space, Earth looks like a blue ball. Dilnoza does exercises every day and studies well.
Earth is the third planet from the Sun. Zuhro is the planet Venus.
Class activity
“Rocket launch”: children count down from 10 to 0 and jump shouting “Parvoz!” (Lift-off!). Then each says what they would like to see in space.
