Explanation
A tourist is a person who visits a place to enjoy it and learn about it. Egypt has many places that people visit from near and far, and every visitor can help keep them clean, safe and respected. Our project is about how to enjoy the places we visit and take care of them. Think of ideas such as: put litter in a bin, stand in the queue and wait your turn, ask permission before photographing a person, keep your voice low where people are resting, and do not write on walls or pick plants. Learn about the place from reliable sources before you visit. In the project you work in a team of four, make a plan, research with at least two kinds of sources (print, the internet with a grown-up, or an interview), and present a poster or slides. Checklist: a clear title, three tips, a picture for each tip, sources written down, a margin and few words, permission before photographing anyone, and practice before presenting.

Class activity
Our tourism awareness project. In your team: (1) write the project title; (2) choose a place (a park, a beach or a market) and three tips; (3) write two questions you want to answer and the sources you will use; (4) make a poster or five paper slides using the checklist; (5) present in three minutes. At the end say: what would we do differently next time? To add a picture on a computer: open the document, find the Insert tab, choose Pictures, pick the file, and check its size and place.
