Build and show my presentation
Now bring everything together. Start on paper with a storyboard: a row of small boxes, one box for each slide, with a title and a small sketch. A good five-slide plan is: slide 1 is the title and subtitle. Slides 2, 3 and 4 each hold one section, with three short points and a picture. Slide 5 is the conclusion and the list of sources. Break the work into small tasks and share them if you work in a group. Use your outline and notes, and check your sources again. Write only a few words on each slide. Add pictures you drew or photos you took with permission, and write where each one came from. Check the spelling on every slide. Then practise and present to your class: speak slowly, look at the audience and answer questions kindly. Afterwards, say what went well and what you would do differently next time.

A paper presentation. Make five paper cards (slides) for your research topic. Present them to a partner or to your family in two minutes. Ask them: one thing that was clear, and one thing that could be improved.
