School subjects and jobs
Discover P2 Term 1: Axis 1, Chapter 3
GoalLink school subjects to jobs and fill in a research card about one job.
New words
subject · something we learn at school, like maths or readingtool · something that helps a person do a jobresearch · finding out facts about somethingskill · something we can do well after practice
Explanation
What we learn at school helps us in jobs. A seller uses maths to add prices and give the right change. A hotel worker uses reading to read guests’ messages. A guide uses languages to talk with visitors from other countries. A farmer uses science to know what plants need. A designer uses art to draw patterns for cloth. When we research a job, we find out what the worker does, which tools the worker uses and which school subjects help. Then we write the facts on a card.
