Numerals expressing a count are counting numerals. They answer qancha? necha?: bir (one), ikki (two), o‘n (ten), yigirma (twenty), yuz (hundred), ming (thousand), million. In writing they are often given in Arabic digits: 5, 30, 1200. A compound number written in words has every word separate: yigirma besh (25), bir yuz ellik (150), ikki ming yigirma olti (2026). A counting numeral stands before the noun, and the noun takes no plural: ellik bola (fifty children).
