According to the textbook’s analysis, Rustam grows up strong, brave and bold from youth; he appears simple-hearted, a caring son and a loyal partner. When his mother is driven from the land by slander he does not panic but rescues her. Oftoboy joins beauty with intelligence, and is a wise bride and beloved partner. Huroyim keeps her true self despite much suffering; her forgiveness opens the way to reconciliation between father and son. Sultonxon is shown as a ruler who decides without thinking and trusts others’ words too easily; later he understands his mistakes and asks his family for forgiveness.
