A trip around the world: vacation words
People go on holiday, or vacation, to see new places. A tourist visits a city, a museum or a beach. Before the trip we put clothes in a suitcase. We need a passport to go to another country, and we need a ticket for a plane or a train. At the hotel there may be a swimming pool. We take a camera for photos and wear sunglasses in the sun. Some families go to a theme park for fun. Say the words and look at the pictures.
Dad, is my passport in the bag?
Yes, it is. And your ticket is there too.
I put my sunglasses and my camera in the suitcase.
Good. We will stay in a hotel with a swimming pool.
Hi Salma,
Greetings from Japan! We arrived on Sunday with two big suitcases and our passports. Our hotel has a swimming pool on the roof. Yesterday we took a very fast train to another city. Today we visited a museum and took a lot of photos with the camera you gave me. The weather is warm, so I wear my sunglasses. I miss you!
Love,
Aunt Mervat
Pack the suitcase. Draw a big suitcase on paper. The grown-up says a place: the beach, a cold city, a museum. The child writes or draws five things to take and says: I take sunglasses because it is sunny. Then change.
