Ways to travel and helpers

Discover P2 Term 2: Axis 3, Chapter 2
GoalName ways to travel by road, rail, water and air, and the people who help travellers.
New words
passenger · a person who travels in a vehicleticket · a paper or message that lets us travelmechanic · a person who repairs vehicles
Explanation

We can travel in many ways. On the road we use buses, microbuses, taxis and cars. On rails we use trains. On water we use ferries, felucca boats and ships. In the air we use planes. Many people help travellers. The ticket agent sells tickets. The bus driver drives the bus, and the mechanic repairs it. The train driver drives the train, the conductor checks tickets, and the station master is in charge of the station. The pilot flies the plane, and the flight attendant helps passengers stay safe. To choose how to travel, we think about time, cost and comfort.
