Output devices
Textbook: pp. 76–78
GoalName output devices (monitor, speakers, printer) and know the rules for working with a monitor.
New words
screen · ekranspeaker · kolonkaprinter · printerto print · chop etmoq
Explanation
Devices that bring information out of a computer are called output devices. A monitor shows pictures; the surface where the picture appears is the screen. Speakers play music and sounds. A printer prints text and pictures on paper. In front of a monitor we do not eat or drink, we do not repair it ourselves, we do not sit too close, we do not touch it with dirty hands, we do not work in the dark and we do not wipe it with a wet cloth.
Worked examples
We watch a cartoon on the monitor and hear its sound from the speakers.
A printer prints the picture for a school project on paper.
Class activity
“Which device?”: the teacher names a job (“play music”, “put a picture on paper”, “show a film”). Children name the device: speakers, printer, monitor.
