Explanation
Anything we can get information from is a source of information. The sun is a source for sight and for feeling warmth. An alarm clock is a source for hearing and sight. One thing can give several kinds of information. An apple, for example, can be seen, smelled, tasted and felt as smooth.
Worked examples
A radio is a source of hearing information: we hear news and music from it.
Plov is a source of sight, smell and taste information.
Class activity
“Hunt for sources”: children find 5 information sources in the classroom (board, clock, window, bell, book) and say what information each one gives.
