Clean air for our lungs
We breathe air into our lungs. Clean air is good for our bodies. Smoke and emissions from cars and factories make the air dirty. Many people feel better when the air is clean. We can help the air. We can walk or ride a bike for short trips. We can plant trees, because trees clean the air. We can ask a grown-up to switch off the car engine when the car waits. Read the table.

| Engines stay on. | We can ask a grown-up to switch them off. |
Our poster is about clean air. What can we write?
We breathe with our lungs, so clean air is important.
We can plant trees at school, because trees clean the air.
And we can ride bikes. Bikes don’t make smoke.
Cairo is a big city with many cars. The cars make smoke, and the smoke makes the air dirty. Hoda’s class wants to help. The children plant ten small trees in the school garden. They also walk to school on Sundays. Hoda says, I want to breathe clean air!
