Write about my town or city
When you write about your town or city, first make notes: Where is it? What is it like? What can people do? Use adjectives to help the reader see it: beautiful, busy, quiet, old, sunny, colourful, friendly. Write about five things: the place, the weather, things to see, things to do and the people. End with an invitation: Come and visit! Check that every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
Aswan is a beautiful city in the south of Egypt on the River Nile. It is sunny and warm. You can take a small sailing boat on the river. The market is busy and colourful. The people are friendly. You can eat delicious food and see old buildings. The evenings are quiet and cool in winter. Come and visit Aswan! You will love it.
