Term 1 review: reading and a weather forecast
In this lesson we read, we answer and we speak. First read the text about an eco-camp. Then look at a weather forecast. A forecast tells us the weather for tomorrow. We say: In Cairo it will be sunny. In Alexandria it will be windy. Use the weather words from Unit 6. Finally read the fable on page 104 of your Student Book and say what you think about its moral. We do not retell the fable here.
| City | Tomorrow |
|---|---|
| Cairo | sunny |
| Alexandria | windy |
| Aswan | hot and sunny |
| Port Said | cloudy |
| Hurghada | sunny |
Salma’s class visited an eco-camp near Lake Qarun in Fayoum. The camp uses sun power for its lights. The children didn’t use plastic bottles. They drank water from big jugs and used their own cups. They always put rubbish in the bins. In the morning they walked by the lake and watched birds. Salma thinks eco-tourism is a good idea because it protects nature.
Good evening! Here is the weather for tomorrow.
In Cairo it will be sunny. In Alexandria it will be windy.
In Aswan it will be hot and sunny. In Port Said it will be cloudy.
Thank you for listening!
Weather presentation. Draw a big map of Egypt. Choose three cities and draw weather symbols on the map. The child presents the forecast to the family: In … it will be … . The family listens and says one thing they like.
