Terms. Professional terms
A word used in only one precise meaning in a science or a craft is called a term. Terms fall into two groups: scientific terms are used in sciences (materik — continent, ekvator — equator, meridian — in geography; fonetika, sintaksis — in the mother tongue), while professional terms are used in the speech of craftspeople. For example, bakers use words like xamir (dough), zuvala (a ball of dough), tandir (clay oven), chekich (a bread stamp). Each term has a precise meaning in its field, so it must be understood and used correctly, without confusion.
Choose two crafts (baker and carpenter). Find four professional terms for each and explain them.
