Explanation
A phone number is said one digit at a time. Egyptian mobile numbers have 11 digits. Say them in small groups with short pauses, so your listener can write them down. Zero is ุตูููุฑ. Ask a man ุฑูููู ู ููุจูุงููููู ููุงู ุ and a woman ุฑูููู ู ููุจูุงููููู ููุงู ุ. Again the word ููุงู is the question. Did you miss a digit? Say ุชูุงูููุ and the person says it again. Egyptians write phone numbers with Arabic digits or with ours. Both are normal.
Ali asks Maryam for her number. The number is made up. Press each line.
A short number: two, three, four.

Class activity
Write your own phone number in Arabic digits, in small groups. Say it aloud digit by digit, then read it to a friend or to a mirror. Also write a made-up number with eleven digits and say it slowly. Use ุตูููุฑ for every zero.
