Explanation

Names of places are nouns, and the question is فِين (where). Say فِين البَنْك؟ for «where is the bank?». Answer with the place and هِنَا (here) when you can point. Say «in» with فِي: أَنَا فِي السُّوق means «I am in the market». With sun letters, ال is said doubled: is-sūʾ, iṣ-ṣaydaliyya, ish-shāriʿ, is-sinima. With other letters it stays il-: il-bank, il-maṭʿam.
