Explanation

From 11 to 19 Egyptian numbers end in -tāshar: حِدَاشَر (11), اِتْنَاشَر (12), خَمَسْتَاشَر (15); learn them as whole words. The tens end in -īn: عِشْرِين (20), تَلَاتِين (30), أَرْبَعِين (40), built from the numbers you know. One hundred is مِيَّة. For a number like 25, say the ones first, then وِ (and), then the tens: خَمْسَة وِعِشْرِين, «five and twenty». ث is said t, so 30 is talatīn. After a number above ten, سَنَة (year) and جِنِيه (pound) stay singular.
