Draw a table for the three states: capital, dynasty, number of begliks, population.
Bukhara – Bukhara, Mangits, 40, ~2 million; Khiva – Khiva, Kungrats, 18 (+2 noibliks), over 800 thousand; Kokand – Kokand, Mings, 15, ~3 million.

Using an atlas, write five towns that belonged to the Khanate of Kokand.
For example: Kokand, Tashkent, Andijan, Margilan, Namangan (also Osh, Uzgen, Chimkent).

Why might unlimited ruler’s power be both an advantage and a danger? Write two or three sentences.
Advantage: decisions can be made quickly. Danger: nobody checks a wrong decision and officials may abuse their positions. (Open to discussion.)

List five or six offices (qushbegi, mirobboshi, mehtar etc.) and state each one’s duty in one sentence.
Sample: qushbegi – chief minister in Bukhara; mirobboshi – water distribution in Khiva; mehtar – treasury in Kokand; qozikalon – chief judge; mirshabboshi – city order.
