Explanation
The 7 times table: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70. There are 7 days in a week, so the table helps with week problems. 7 × 6 = 6 × 7 = 42, which we know from the 6 times table.
Worked examples
7 × 5 = 35 and 8 × 7 = 56.
If Zohid saves 7 thousand so‘m a week, in 8 weeks he saves 7 × 8 = 56 thousand.
Class activity
“Days of the week”: children count “1 week – 7 days, 2 weeks – 14 days ...” up to 10 weeks and learn the table.
