Explanation
A domino piece is a rectangle split into two halves. Each half has dots or pictures. In the game we put matching halves next to each other. We cut same-size rectangles from card and draw dots or fruit pictures on them.
Worked examples
One piece: 2 dots on the left | 5 dots on the right. A half with 5 dots goes next to it.
Class activity
Steps: 1) Draw 10 equal rectangles on card with a ruler. 2) Cut them out along the lines. 3) Draw a line across the middle of each. 4) On each half draw 1 to 5 dots or fruit pictures. Then play in pairs: join matching halves. Safety: when cutting a long straight line, don’t close the scissors all the way; move the paper forward.
