Textbook pp. 24–25
GoalMake a “khan’s daughter” collage with a dress of dry leaves.
New words
khan’s daughter, princess · xon qizidress · ko‘ylakcrown · toj
Explanation

In fairy tales the khan’s daughter wears beautiful clothes. We make her head and arms from paper and her dress from colourful leaves. A big leaf is the skirt, small leaves are the sleeves.

Worked examples
A yellow crown and a dress of red and yellow leaves.
Class activity

Steps: 1) Draw a round head and neck on card and colour the face. 2) Glue a big leaf below as the dress. 3) Add small leaves at the sides as sleeves. 4) Cut a crown from yellow paper and glue it on the head. Safety: point the scissor tips down when cutting the crown’s points.
