New words
greeting card · tabriknomagift · sovg‘aflower · gulpetal · gulbarg
Explanation
On 8 March we congratulate mothers, grandmothers, sisters and teachers. A gift made with our own hands is the most precious. We fold card in half to make a greeting card. We glue a paper flower on the front and write a kind wish inside.
Worked examples
Folded card + 5 red circle petals + a yellow centre + a green stem; inside: “Happy holiday, dear Mum!”
Class activity
Steps: 1) Fold coloured card in half. 2) Cut 5 equal circles from coloured paper for petals. 3) Glue them in a ring and put a yellow circle in the middle. 4) Add a green strip stem and two leaves, and write a wish inside (an adult can help). Safety: when passing scissors, hold them closed with the handles towards the other person.
