New words
chick · jo‘jabeak · tumshuqcircle · doirafoot, claw · panja
Explanation
A chick is made of two circles: a big circle for the body and a small circle for the head. We cut the circles from yellow paper. The beak and feet are small orange triangles. When cutting a circle, we slowly turn the paper.
Worked examples
A big yellow circle + a small yellow circle + an orange triangle beak + a black dot eye.
Class activity
Steps: 1) On yellow paper, trace a big and a small circle using a cup and a lid. 2) Cut along the lines. 3) Glue the big circle on card first, then the small one above it. 4) Add the beak, feet and eye, and draw grass around. Safety: when cutting a circle, keep the scissors still and turn the paper.
