GoalMake a hedgehog carrying an apple from play-dough and seeds.

Explanation
A hedgehog’s back is covered with spines. We shape the body from play-dough like an egg. We push in sunflower seeds or bits of pine cone as spines.
Worked examples
A pointed snout and a little black ball of play-dough for the nose.
Class activity
Steps: 1) Roll grey play-dough between your palms into an egg. 2) Pull one end into a snout. 3) Push seeds into the back in rows. 4) Make a little red apple and press it onto the spines. Work on a modelling board.
