Explanation
A mosaic is a picture made of many small pieces. We tear paper into small bits with our fingers, no scissors. We glue the bits tightly inside a drawn apple shape.
Worked examples
Red bits for the apple, a brown strip for the stem, green for the leaf.
Class activity
Steps: 1) Draw a big apple on card. 2) Tear red or yellow paper into small bits. 3) Spread glue inside the apple and stick the bits with no gaps. 4) Add a stem and a leaf; the leaf can be a real dry leaf.
