Textbook pp. 62–63

New words
gift · sovg‘abookmark · xatcho‘pto value · qadrlamoqto choose · tanlamoq
Explanation
In this lesson we invent the gift ourselves. We remember the folding, cutting and gluing methods we learned this year. For example: a bookmark, a paper flower, a small box or a card. We also decide in advance whom the gift is for.
Worked examples
A bookmark: a long card strip + a folded paper butterfly on top + a pattern along the edges.
Class activity
Steps: 1) Decide whom the gift is for and what it will be. 2) Get the paper, card and glue ready. 3) Make the main part, then decorate it and add a pattern. 4) Finish, clean your workplace and say 2 sentences about your gift. Safety: close the glue straight after use and put the scissors in their box.
