Forest and meadow

Explanation
A forest has many trees. Squirrels, foxes, hedgehogs and birds live there. A meadow has lots of grass and flowers, with butterflies, bees and grasshoppers. Uzbekistan has juniper forests in the mountains and tugay (riverside) forests along rivers. In nature we do not drop litter or pick wild flowers.
Worked examples
In the forest: juniper, walnut tree, squirrel, woodpecker.
In the meadow: tulip, dandelion, butterfly, bee.
Class activity
Two columns on the board: Forest and Meadow. Children stick pictures in the right column. On a walk, look in the school yard grass to see who lives there.
