Explanation
It is best to go to school every day by the same safe route. We cross the road only at a pedestrian crossing and on the green light. Every child should know their home address.
Worked examples
I leave home, pass the shop, cross at the “zebra” crossing — and here is school.
Red — stop, yellow — get ready, green — go.
Class activity
Children draw a simple map of their way from home to school: home, shop, road, traffic light, school. Then they tell a partner about their route.
