Explanation

At a shop or at the table we ask politely: “Can I have two apples, please?” Answer: “Here you are.” We say: “Thank you!” The English short e (egg, ten, red) is close to Uzbek e and short.

Class activity

“Fruit shop”: one child is the shopkeeper, others are shoppers. A shopper says “Can I have four oranges, please?” and the shopkeeper counts them out: “Here you are.”
