City, town or village in Egypt
A city is big, with many people, tall buildings and busy roads. Cairo, Alexandria and Luxor are cities. A town is smaller. Dahab and Siwa are towns. A village is small, with fields, farms and a quiet life. There are many villages in the Delta and in Al Fayoum, and the colourful Nubian villages near Aswan are famous. We use there is and there are to describe a place, and we compare with bigger than, smaller than, quieter than and busier than. Every kind of place is special.
My city is big and busy. There are many cars and tall buildings.
My village is smaller and quieter. There are fields and a lot of animals.
Which place do you like best?
