Secondary parts answer many questions: Qanday? Qaysi? Nechta? (feature, number), Nimani? Kimga? (thing, person), Qayerda? Qayerga? Qayerdan? (place), Qachon? (time). We ask the question through the word it is linked to: Qanday kitob? (What kind of book?) Qachon oldi? (When did he take it?)

Bahorda tog‘larda lolalar ochiladi. (In spring tulips bloom in the mountains.) Qachon ochiladi? — bahorda (when). Qayerda ochiladi? — tog‘larda (where).

Mening akam kecha kutubxonadan qiziqarli kitob oldi. (My brother took an interesting book from the library yesterday.) Qachon? — kecha. Qayerdan? — kutubxonadan. Qanday kitob? — qiziqarli. Nimani? — kitob.

“Question ball”: children throw a ball. The thrower says a sentence and asks the catcher a question: “Qachon?” or “Qayerda?”. The catcher finds the secondary part.
