Russian A1 · Unit 4
GoalPut greetings, names, thanks and goodbyes together in a full short talk.
New words
до за́втра (do závtra) · see you tomorrowдо встре́чи (do vstréchi) · see you (until we meet)споко́йной но́чи (spokóynoy nóchi) · good nightдобро́ пожа́ловать (dobró pozhálovatʹ) · welcome
Explanation

In every meeting choose first: ты for a friend or вы for a stranger. Then follow the steps: greet, ask for the name, say that you are glad, ask how things are, and say goodbye. New goodbyes: До за́втра! means “See you tomorrow” and До встре́чи! means “See you”. Say Споко́йной но́чи! before sleep, and Добро́ пожа́ловать! to welcome a guest. The table shows both forms side by side.
