Explanation
A house is дом and a flat is кварти́ра. Every flat has ко́мнаты: ку́хня, спа́льня, гости́ная, ва́нная, туале́т and коридо́р. Ва́нная and гости́ная look like feminine adjectives (like но́вая), but we use them as nouns. Ask Что э́то? and answer Э́то ку́хня. To count rooms, one is одна́ ко́мната. For feminine words two is две: две ко́мнаты. Three and four go the same way: три ко́мнаты, but five and more is пять ко́мнат. You can say В кварти́ре три ко́мнаты, “in the flat there are three rooms”.
| Number | Say |

| 1 | одна́ ко́мната |
