Explanation

Now describe a whole home. Say how many rooms there are and on which floor the flat is: Моя́ кварти́ра на тре́тьем этаже́. Learn these floors as set phrases (see the table). Say what there is and what there is not: В гости́ной есть дива́н, но нет ковра́. Use в and на: на столе́, в ко́мнате, на ку́хне. Ask У вас есть лифт? and answer Да, есть or Нет, ли́фта нет. A balcony is балко́н, and свет is “light”.
