Explanation

Когда́ asks “when”: Когда́ э́то? Answer with a time word: сейча́с (now), сего́дня (today), за́втра (tomorrow). Почему́ asks “why” and the answer begins with потому́ что (“because”). Как asks “how”; you know it from Как тебя́ зову́т? (“What is your name?”, literally “How do they call you?”). Ско́лько asks “how much, how many”, as in Unit 6. All question words come first in the sentence.

Ма́ша asks Са́ша about a window. Потому́ что means “because”.
Али́ asks when. Listen to the answers: now, today, tomorrow.

Two friends meet. Как тебя́ зову́т? is a question with как.
Class activity
