Explanation

عَايِز (ʿāyiz) means «I want» when a man speaks, and عَايْزَة (ʿāyza) when a woman speaks. The word does not change with «I», it changes with the speaker. Say عَايِز شَاي, «I want tea». With a verb: عَايِز آكُل, «I want to eat», and عَايْزَة أَشْرَب, «I want to drink». Ask a man إِنْتَ عَايِز إِيه؟ and a woman إِنْتِي عَايْزَة إِيه؟ For «I like» say بَحِبّ (baḥibb) for both: بَحِبّ القَهْوَة. The negative is مِش: مِش بَحِبّ, مِش عَايِز.
