Explanation

This lesson brings Unit 17 together with school, shopping and the weather from the earlier units. Read the text about Salma and Layla aloud, line by line, and answer the questions. In line 1, صَدِيقَتَان is the dual “two (female) friends”. In line 6, هُمَا means “the two of them”, and the describing words are dual too: لَطِيفَتَان وَذَكِيَّتَان. At the end write your own text of five lines in which you compare two people, two places or two things.
