Explanation

To ask for an opinion, say مَا رَأْيُك فِي …؟ “What do you think of …?” Answer with فِي رَأْيِي “in my opinion” and a full sentence: فِي رَأْيِي، الْكِتَاب مُمْتِع. Or use the chunk أَظُنّ أَنَّ “I think that”: أَظُنّ أَنَّ الْكِتَاب مُمْتِع. To agree, say أَنَا مُوَافِق (a woman says مُوَافِقَة). To disagree, use لَسْتُ from Unit 2: لَسْتُ مُوَافِقًا. To say “right”, use صَحِيح, and “not right” is غَيْر صَحِيح.

Class activity

Ask two people مَا رَأْيُك فِي …؟ about a subject, a season or a book, and write their answers. Then write your own opinion with فِي رَأْيِي and with أَظُنّ أَنَّ, and say whether you agree with them.

Practice
