Explanation

To buy a ticket say أُرِيد تَذْكِرَة, “I want a ticket”, and add the kind: ذَهَاب فَقَط “one way” or ذَهَاب وَإِيَاب “return”. For two tickets use the dual. After a verb like أُرِيد the dual ends in ـَيْن: أُرِيد تَذْكِرَتَيْن. To book, say أُرِيد أَنْ أَحْجِز تَذْكِرَة. Ask about the time with مَتَى يُغَادِر الْقِطَار؟ and answer with the clock. The class is الدَّرَجَة الْأُولَى.

Class activity

Write a talk at the ticket office, six lines. You want two tickets to a city, one way or return, for tomorrow. Ask when the train leaves and how much the tickets are. Then act it out with a friend.
