Research objects and planning an investigation

Write one research object and one subject each for biology, chemistry and physics.
For example: biology – a plant, root structure; chemistry – salt, dissolving in water; physics – water, boiling temperature.

Write in one sentence the aim of a study on “How does the outdoor temperature change during the day?”
For example: to measure the air temperature through the day and find at what hour it is highest.

Find three measuring instruments at home and write what each measures.
For example: ruler – length; scales – mass; thermometer – temperature; clock – time.

Why is an experiment with several plants more reliable than with one? Write your idea.
One plant may grow well or badly by chance; several plants let us compare results and reduce the effect of chance.
