Review lesson
The review lesson goes through the topics of the whole year in order. The first sections cover the system of geographical sciences, the structure of the Earth, the geographic envelope and its regularities (latitudinal zonation, altitudinal zonation) and geosystems (facies, urochishche, locality). The next topics are society–nature interaction, geographic assessment, forecasting, monitoring and expert review. In the political-economic part we studied population, urbanisation, migration, geopolitics, integration organisations, global problems and the regions (Europe, Latin America, Africa, Oceania, Asia). Finally comes Uzbekistan: its geopolitical position, economy and geoecological problems. An effective way to review is to write your own questions and tests on each topic and solve them, to fill in a blank map, and to redo time-difference and map-scale problems.
“Question chain”: the class splits into two teams; each team in turn asks a question from past topics and the other team answers. Questions and answers go into a notebook, and some questions require showing places on a map.
