Global problems of humanity
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
List eight global problems and write one concrete solution for each.
For example: climate – cut emissions; water – saving and cleaning; food – higher yields; energy – alternative sources; peace – negotiation and disarmament; diseases – vaccination; poverty – education and jobs; pollution – recycling.
2
If 20 of 80 units of electricity come from solar and wind, what is their share in percent? (Number only.)
25
3
Make a 5-point plan to save energy or water for your school or family.
For example: switch off lights and devices when unused; fix dripping taps; LED lamps; reuse rain or washing water; adjust heating to the weather.
4
Explain in 3–4 sentences how one global problem (for example food shortage) can lead to another (migration).
When food runs short, income and harvests fall and people move to other areas seeking better conditions; this puts pressure on cities and receiving countries.
5
Link the Aral Sea problem with global ecological problems in 4–5 sentences.
Heavy water withdrawals for irrigation caused the sea to shrink; this affected climate, salt-dust storms, health and migration – showing the linkage of water, ecological and social problems.
