Explanation
Someone near us — this; someone far away — that. Pointing far away: “Who’s that?” Guessing: “Is that your sister?” Answer: “Yes, it is.” or “No, it isn’t. It’s my cousin.”

Class activity
“Near and far”: put one family picture close (on a desk) and one far away (on the board). Children ask “Who’s this?” for the near one and “Who’s that?” for the far one.
