Explanation

For a thing we ask “What’s this?”, for a person we ask “Who’s this?” Answer: “It’s my grandpa.” Then give the name: for a boy or man “His name’s Karim.”, for a girl or woman “Her name’s Malika.”

Worked examples
— Who’s this? — It’s my sister. Her name’s Dilnoza.
— Who’s this? — It’s my dad. His name’s Rustam.
Class activity

“Family picture”: each child draws their family. In pairs, one points and asks “Who’s this?”, the other answers “It’s my …”.
