Explanation
We have 5 senses: sight (eyes), hearing (ears), smell (nose), taste (mouth), touch (hands). Sentence: “I see with my eyes.” Question: “What sense is it?”
Worked examples
I hear with my ears. I smell with my nose.
— A flower. What sense is it? — Smell!
Class activity
“Mystery box”: a box holds a soft toy, a little bell and a lemon. A child closes their eyes, then touches, listens or smells, and says which sense they used: “Touch!”
